I finished reading the Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King tonight. Finishing that book always makes me sad. I really like it, but the end has always made me depressed. Something about the finality of it, with the ring bearers leaving middle earth just gets me down. Now I need to read some Kurt Vonnegut to pick my spirits up a little. Unfortunately, I don't think I've got any of his books available to read right now, so I'll just have to do without.
The house warming party was a fun way to spend my time. The food was good and plentiful, which is always a nice combination. Also, it seems that just today we got a single burner for the makeshift kitchen at Davis. So now I can get rolling with the Pasta Roni, Rice A Roni, and perhaps even some Hamburger Helper. I don't think I'm ready for tortilla wraps though.
